Can You Find the Scar?

One Month Post Breast Augmentation

One Month Post Breast Augmentation

It’s impossible to perform a surgical procedure and not leave a scar.  I often tell my patients in consultation that I wish I were a magician, could wave a magic wand, and make everything happen without leaving any marks.  Unfortunately, that’s just not the case, and if you’re going to have surgery there’s going to be a scar somewhere.
As a practitioner who was drawn to the field of Plastic Surgery, however, scars are a thing that I pay a lot of attention to.  Experience with modern techniques helps me to keep them smaller and camouflaged in areas where they’re less noticeable.  As an example, the photograph above is of the incision I used for a woman who underwent an endoscopic transaxillary breast augmentation.  Can you find the scar?  (Because she couldn’t!)
I instruct patients after surgery on scar-management techniques to keep incision lines healing well.  I also treat patients who come to me with troublesome scars from previous procedures requiring scar revisions, treatment with lasers, etc.  Boston area patients pride themselves on discretion, plastic surgery or otherwise.  Contact Coastal Plastic Surgery today for an appointment and I’ll be happy to discuss what I can do for you.
